Bess Farris is a fine arts painter whose love for creating spans back to early childhood. Her expressive works reflect her passion for design, color, pattern, and texture. Bess works primarily with acrylic paint on canvas and paper. She layers paint, washes, and mediums until each piece tells its story. Her inspiration is a pastiche of nature, music, and the playful, adventurous spirit of her two young sons. She strives to paint with the gusto of a child: playfully, full of whimsy, and without fear.

She and her family reside in Collierville, Tennessee. You can find Bess painting in her home studio in the quiet wee hours of morning or night, with two loyal labradoodles at her feet.
